The midterm exam is February 26th in class.
No cellphones, laptops and/or calculators are
allowed. The exam is open book, with any textbook
also allowed.
(1) 40% - 10 questions worth 4% each.
- matrix/vector manipulation (operations that
resize matrix, matrix multiplication, elementwise
multiolication, reshaping matrices, inner and outer
products, row/column major storage,solving systems
of equations, condition numbers)

(2) 20% - basic MatLab coding
(2a) (7%) for loops
(2b) (6%) tracing code using nested while loops (before this
code tracing was related to your answer to question(2a), but
now (2a) and (2b) are independent of each other). An extra
page was added to allow more space for answering these questions.
(2c) (7%) if-elseif-else coding

(3) 20% - this is the assignment question

(4) 20% - Given a MatLab plot, write the code
to produce it. Plotting code on assignment 2 and
pages 1-25 of Lecture 7 are relevant here.
