My research interests lie in the field of database management, specifically database security and object-oriented databases. In the field of database security, my research involves investigating role-based models using role graphs, for all types of security from commercial security to mandatory access control. This includes building role administration tools, and studying the use of role-based models for security in interoperable systems. In the field of object-oriented databases, recent research has dealt with data models and the design of query languages. Current research in this area includes work on database schema integration and schema translation for medical information systems.
