Announcements
(Last Update: May 6, 2005)

New! May 6, 2005: For those of you interested at the 2005 ECOO conference, you can find the slides for my talk here. If you have any questions, or would like to chat about games in your courses, just send me e-mail at katchab@csd.uwo.ca.
New! April 15, 2005: I have booked MC320 on April 25th at 1:00pm for a nice, relaxing look at everyone's game projects. Since the computer in that room could be underpowered, please try to make arrangements to have an appropriate computer with you to run your game. Note that your entire group need not be present. If no one can make it that afternoon, and you would like to make alternate arrangements, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!
New! April 8, 2005: As a reminder, the final exam for the course is approaching on April 16th at 9:00am in WSC 55. A copy of last year's final exam is available in Microsoft Word, PDF, and PostScript formats.

New! March 10, 2005: After receiving a request from a group, and chatting with our undergraduate chair, I've decided to give a short extension for submitting your prototypes to Wednesday March 16, 2005. This gives you a little bit more time in trying to get things put together. We can't go further than this, or else we may not have enough time to give you feedback and let you build upon things for a final implementation. I hope this helps you out!
New! March 10, 2005: Doug just sent out an e-mail directed to all grads and undergrads about the session being held by Big Blue Bubble, based in London. This information and recruiting session is going to be held March 15th ar 4:00pm in the North Campus Building, Rm 114. Please refer to Doug's message for more details!

February 1, 2005: To help people in their search for graphics, textures, models, sound effects, and so on for their games, I have created a game assets page linked below under the useful and helpful links section. I've put a few good ones there to start, but if you have favourites of your own that can provide these free game assets, it would be greatly appreciated if you pass them on to me!
February 1, 2005: Western Libraries just acquired access to nearly one hundred online computer books from O'Reilly's Safari site. I don't believe there are many, if any, that are gaming related, but you might find some interesting to check out for other purposes. Go to this link for more information. Note that you either need to be on campus for this to work, or go through the library's proxy service. More information can be found following the above link.
