Congratulations to the 2016 Project ‘Team Titawin’ and to the 2015 Project ‘Team Peach’ from the Computer Science 3307a class on Object-Oriented Design and Analysis.
In December 2016, the Computer Science Department at Western University (Prof. Nazim Madhavji & TA’s) collaborated with the Information Services Department of the Schulich School of the Medicine and Dentistry at Western University (Derrick Gould, Matt Walsh and Paul Malcomson) to provide a ‘real world’ problem for the twenty project teams to study and solve. This is an example of a real-world software system developed by Western for Western, giving students an exposure to real-world environment in the classroom.
This year, the Schulich IS team selected ‘Team Titawin’ as the project team that delivered the best project of the twenty projects submitted. The delivered system is meant for daily use within the clinical departments of Schulich and is, in fact, an upgrade of the best system of eleven projects delivered by the 2015 ‘Team Peach’.
Thanks to all project teams from both years of this collaboration, and once again our sincere congratulations to the winning teams!
