The queue manager in RSX-11M and RSX-11M-Plus will not schedule jobs properly
after the end of 1992.

  - If you submit a job now to run in 1993, it will run immediately.

  - If, in 1993 (or later), you submit a job to run at a specific time, you
    will observe this behaviour:

    - the year of the displayed scheduled date will be 16 less than the
requested date, but the job will run on the requested date.

    - If the specified time is in any of the ranges 00:00-03:59,
08:00-11:59 or 16:00-19:59, the displayed scheduled time will be four
hours later than the specified time.

    - Almost all jobs will run four hours earlier than the displayed
      scheduled time.

You are affected if:

  - A SHOW QUEUE command typically shows that you have jobs which are
    "Blocked until ...".
  - You have batch jobs which run daily and automatically resubmit
    themselves.
  - You ever use the /AFTER qualifier in a SUBMIT command.

There is a patch available from Digital to correct this problem. The Digital
part number is:

		QR505-HM	on 9 track magtape
		QR505-H5	on TK50

(It is also available on RX50, but I didn't record that part number.)

RSX-11M-Plus V4.4 will include this correction. V4.4 is currently in final
field test and, according to Digital, either may or may not be shipped before
1993.

Ha, ha, ha. Take me back to [ the alphabetic list ] [ the date-ordered list ].
