Finding New Ways to Use Mice
Finding New Ways To Use Mice
A "Previous Employer" of mine made business/financial-advising experts
systems.
The claim for the system was the standard one: i.e. that you could bring
anyone in, set them down in front of the machine and they could --with no
previous training-- use the system.
So, the scene is the board room of "The Big Corporation" where the cream of
our sales staff is making a full-tilt pitch. Following the presentation,
they roll out the machine with the system on it and, with appropriate pomp
and fanfare, set the Senior VP of Finance down in front of the system.
All smiles and confidence, the leader of our sales team tells the VP:
"Now, to start the system, all you have to do is point the mouse at the
option on the screen that you wish to select."
At which time the Senior VP of Finance picks up the mouse and presses it
against the place on the screen containing the option that he wished to
select.
