Magi's Photo Album Thames Valley Presbyterian Church
Welcome to my Church Photo Album collection. All of the pictures on these
pages deal with the Church that Cheryl and I are currently attending. Because
of the rapidity with which I've been adding pictures to this album, I've
organized this index page quite differently than the rest. You will discover
that pictures will be added to the first three sets of albums over time and
that albums will be added to the last set when special events occur. And you
will discover that the pictures on this page aren't links to anywhere.
People
The pictures here show Dane Lewis (our minister) and his
family (his wife Jo and sons Dan and Matt) involved in various TVPC events.
Here you will find portraits of some of the people who attend
(or have attended) TVPC.
Some candid shots of things that happened during TVPC events.
Facilities
The first services of the church were held Sunday afternoons in
the chapel of Huron College at UWO. These pictures were taken around and
during the last such service.
Early in November of 1998 we started morning services at Grosvenor
Lodge. I've been taking pictures as the seasons change at one of London's most
historic sites.
Ministries
Worship Service
I know, there should be something here. Eventually there will be.
The Kids head out for Sunday School during the last half of our
Sunday morning service. Jo Lewis looks after them.
On the first Friday of the month we meet in the Coach House to
watch a movie and then talk about it.
On the fourth Sunday of the month we have a Pot Luck lunch.
Special Events
The first AM services was on November 8, 1998. We took two weeks
to get used to the new facilities and to decide on how to set up the furniture.
5000 invitations were put together and hand delivered. This wasn't
as easy as it sounds at first blush. Several days were taken up in just
gluing cookies into all of the invitations. Yes, cookies. And then we had
to find enough people to deliver them all.
The first, official, morning service was held on November 22, 1998.
Some 32 new people were present. A good time was had by all and everyone stayed
for the reception which followed.
Scenes from the Advent Sundays.
You will find pictures from both 1998 and 1999. I did better in '99, being
there for all but the Christmas Eve service.
We had both a Maundy Thursday and an Easter Sunday service. Being
involved on Sunday made it difficult to get a lot of pictures.
Some have called it the first annual church retreat but ... For
now let us just say that we gathered in Limehouse for a day and a half.

Alas, things just aren't coming together to well. Here are links into
some of the organized TVPC pictures. Yes, these should be merged into this
index page. Yes I plan to do it. No, I don't know when I'll get it done. As
you can see, I'm way behind now.
