January 7, 2008: I hope you all had a great holiday break! I just wanted to let everyone know that we will be having class this Wednesday, January 9th at 4:30pm in MC 316. (Usual time and place.) We need to get meetings sorted out for this term, talk about what to do with XNA 2.0, and a few other things. I don't anticipate taking too long with things, but we should still sit down and go through things at the same time.
November 15, 2007: Details of what will be required for the second milestone have been posted and linked below.
November 7, 2007: A link to our new course wiki has been added below! You will need to register for an account on that site before proceeding. If you have questions about using it, just ask me or Ali!
October 15, 2007: There is no class this Wednesday, as each group should be busy working away on their milestones. As another note, there is a quantity of the C# Concisely books that we received from Microsoft in the main office that we are giving away (for free!) on a first come, first serve basis to students in CS470/CS480. Sadly, there isn't quite enough copies for everyone, but we should come close! You should be able to just ask for one at the front counter, but if there are any issues, Dianne should be able to help you out!
October 9, 2007: Description of the first milestone has been updated to include submission locker information.
October 8, 2007: Details of what will be required for the first milestone have been posted and linked below. To discuss this and answer questions concerning this, there will be a class this Wednesday, October 10th in the usual time and place.
October 1, 2007: The game project this year will be an adaptation of a game entitled the Misadventures of State Man, created a couple years back in our game design course. Project files and materials for this are available on the private area of the course website. This will be discussed further in the meeting this week.
October 1, 2007: There is no class per se this week, but Ali will be using this time for inital group meetings for everyone to get things organized this way. Details will follow through e-mail shortly!
September 25, 2007: This is just a reminder that there is no class this week. Instead, please check your e-mail and forward meeting times to Ali so we can get rolling on the smaller group meetings!
September 20, 2007: Added link to new password-protected private area containing project materials below.
September 17, 2007: Just to let you know, I have been able to get class moved to MC316 starting this week, and for the entire year! This will hopefully make things much easier and more convenient for everyone. We should also get a bit of a demo this Wednesday of some of the XNA stuff in action from someone that was working with things over the summer time. So, this could be very interesting and useful for everyone! Again, if you could think of potential alternate meeting times before Wednesday, as well as good possible times for someone from Microsoft to come down and give us some tutorials on all of this, that would be greatly appreciated!
September 12, 2007: Another newly released XNA book has been added to the recommended books section of the course outline. Last one! Promise!
September 5, 2007: Newly released alternate text books have been added to the recommended books section of the course outline.
August 12, 2007: Initial website created for the term.
