CS 3357b

The final exam is marked! They're going into storage today so you can't look at them (I don't think), but stop by my office if you're curious about your grade. You people are all terribly, terribly unfunny. Nonetheless, here are the least horrible answers to the bonus question on the exam of "how many networking programmers does it take to change a lightbulb?" (side note: anyone who wrote anything got 1 mark for it):

• There's a team working on it, but they are waiting for the light socket to ACK before they connect.
• None. They don't bother changing it because they light from their monitors is enough to get by. Boo-yah! (ed: a few people had this joke, but it was the "boo-yah!" that pushed this one over the edge)
• 6502. One to broadcast the problem, 6500 to join the problem network to help and one poor sucker who gets sent to prison for "hosting" some crappy Warner Bros. movie on the same server.

...and, because I have an absurdist sense of humour:

• The same number of men it took to put Armstring on the moon. It didn't happen and neither will this.
• I don't know, but I guess we only need one. He just takes the old light bulb out and puts the new one in. You only need one human to do it.
