How to Submit Assignments

You must submit both an electronic and a paper copy of your assignment.

Electronic Submission

To do the electronic submission, you should use your account on the computers in the CS Department's first year lab rooms MC 230 and MC 235.

There should be a folder called Assignments in the home directory on your CS department computing account (on the Z: drive). If you don't have this folder, create it.

Inside the Assignments directory, you must create the directory CS1025\AssignmentN  (N=1, for assignment 1) in your account and place a copy of your assignment solution materials there. The assignment solution materials would normally include programs, test inputs, test outputs and documentation. When there are several questions, you should use separate subdirectories for each question, e.g. CS1025\Assignment1\Q1, CS1025\Assignment1\Q2, etc.

When you are done, click on the Submit icon on the desktop, and follow the instructions. Please try not to submit more than once. If do you submit the assignment more than once, then only the last one will be marked, and the date that it is submitted will be used for calculating any late penalty.

Paper Submission

To submit the paper copy, you should

• print your assignment solution materials,
• print, fill in and sign the Assignment Submission Form,
• put the form, with your solution materials without folding in a big envelope with your name on it. Do not seal the envelope.
• Use the PRTICKET icon on the desktop to print an "Assignment Hand In Ticket".
• Put the envelope with your assignment in the CS 1025 Assignment Locker, which is locker number 87 near the Grad Club.
