Amanda Holden

Amanda Holden, class of 1987, graduated with an HBSc majoring in Computer Science from Western University.  She grew up in Sarnia, spending her summers sailing on Lake Huron. After graduating, she moved to Toronto for her first programming job at TD Bank. Amanda spent several years at TD in technology, training and management roles. Visa Canada was Amanda’s next career move where she continued developing technology and operations management skills. In 2003 Amanda was promoted to Vice President and by 2007 she was responsible  all operational and technology functions for the Canada region including service delivery, network and technology support, project and implementation management, production support, client services, fraud management, infrastructure, acceptance, information systems and commercial and processing products.  In 2009 Amanda moved to Interac Association where she remains today. In her current role she is  CIO responsible for Operations, Security, Technology & Fraud. Amanda leads all technical and operational oversight for all of the organization’s payment products and services. Amanda credits her love of technology and analytical mindset to her degree from Western. She remains good friends with classmates from university and is happy to see a higher percentage of women in Computer Science – it was lonely being the only girl in that cold CS350 PC programming lab!!
